Protecting Your Identity at Summer Events.
Summer is here, and that means loads of parties, concerts, sporting events, street fairs and beach trips. A lot of opportunities for fun, and more chances then ever to have your personal information stolen. If you want to minimize the chances you can follow these tips:
1. Don’t bring more than you need. If you don’t need your credit card leave it at home. Ditto for any other types of ID you may be carrying.
2. Stay aware of your surroundings. Be especially wary of people who bump into you.
3. Know where your purse or wallet is at all times. Be sure to keep it in a button closed wallet or bring a zipper close purse. This will help to keep prying hands out.
4. Don’t share information with strangers or vacation. You may be the only one not at work.
