How To Opt Out of Pre approved Credit Offers

Earlier this week, we looked at why you should opt our of pre existing credit offers.  Today, we are going to look at how to do it.

1. Go to https://www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t

2. Click on the button labeled “Click here to opt in or opt out”

3. Choose between opt out for 5 years and opt out forever.

4. Fill in the form and submit.

Now, go and opt out.

How To Opt Out of Information Sharing

There was a notice, you probably didn’t see it in the mail, buried in that 40 page document.  Many, if not all of the companies that you do business with want to share your personal information.  It may be labeled something like partner companies or “data transfer”.  Whatever it is called you want to opt out.  As we covered earlier the less places your data is, the better.  So here is our guide on how to opt out without that sheet of paper.

1. Get your credit card or loam information out.
2. Call customer service.
3. Ask about how to opt out.  If customer service can handle this go ahead and complete.
4. If you need to call a special number, do so.
5. Follow up in a few weeks to ensure that your request was followed up on.

There you have it, opt out in a can.
