Are you buying from Reputable Online Stores?
What type of online stores are you buying from? Are you involved with those that have a good reputation? Or are you constantly buying from companies that you do not know a lot about? There is nothing wrong with shopping online, but you have to be very careful of who you do business with. There are many reasons for this, with the most important one being that online identity theft is becoming more and more common. If you don’t know who you are sharing your credit card information with how do you know if they are legit?
What can I do to ensure that I am buying from reputable stores? First things first, go over their website with a fine tooth comb. Does it look reputable? Do you see a phone number? If so, call it and see what happens. A real company, one that is reputable, will have somebody available to answer all your questions. And you should definitely ask questions if you are unsure of who you are dealing with.
If you give your credit card information to the wrong person, somebody who is trying to deceive you, trouble is coming your way. It is only a matter of time until the person uses your information against you.
If you have the chance, make sure you buy from an online store that you have heard of and has a good rep among others. This goes a long way in keeping your identity safe.
